After a 40-year hiatus from recording, iconic English singer-songwriter Bill Fay will return with a new full-length LP, ‘Life is People’, on August 21st via Dead Oceans. Making up for lost time, Fay has already released two cuts from the 12-track album, which he recorded alongside producers Joshua Henry and Matt Deighton. “This World” features vocals from Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy, who previously covered Fay’s “Be Not So Fearful” in the Wilco documentary film ‘I Am Trying To Break Your Heart.’ Returning the favor, Fay covered Wilco’s “Jesus, Etc.”, from the classic Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Both tracks are prime examples of Fay’s earnest and emotional folk/rock that would go on to influence the likes of Nick Cave and Jim O’Rourke.
